Portrait of Everyone & Noone #2

This series of portraits explores the notion that the faces we dream of are not entirely original but rather a collage of those we have encountered in waking life. Each painting captures this dreamlike essence, presenting figures that feel familiar yet are not tied to specific identities. By allowing the brush to guide the creative process, I craft faces that honor the many people I have been in the presence of, as well as the dream world itself.

In this piece, I pay homage to my Kurdish roots through a modern interpretation of traditional Kurdish attire, while also acknowledging my new home in Canada through the Haudenosaunee symbol of peace and unity depicted on the mother's chair. These portraits embody not just individual identities but also the rich tapestry of connections that shape our understanding of family and community.

Much like every piece in this collection, the purpose of this work is to invite the audience to interpret a message that resonates with them. It encourages viewers to connect with their subconscious and reflect on their own experiences and relationships.
