Collection: The Cold side
Series: Portrait of Everyone & No-one
Portrait of Everyone & No-one explores the border between dreaming and reality. The faces we encounter in our dreams are not entirely new but a collage of those we've seen while awake. By painting intuitively from imagination, portraits emerge that are not of a specific person, but carry the essence of all who have passed through my life.
This particular piece delves into themes of ego, depression, and the internal struggle of feeling stuck. Depression and anxiety can feel like a never-ending cycle, trapping you in a maze of your own thoughts. The figure in this work represents the emotional weight of feeling overwhelmed, while trying not to drown in the mysteries created by the mind. This piece aims to express the complexities of inner turmoil and the elusive path to self-understanding.
