Portrait of Everyone & Noone #11: Big Head

This series of portraits explores the idea that the faces we dream of are not entirely original, but rather a collage of those we’ve encountered in waking life. Each painting captures this dreamlike quality, presenting figures that feel familiar yet aren’t tied to specific identities. By letting the brush lead the way, I create faces that reflect both the people I’ve known and the dream world itself.

This particular piece delves into themes of ego, depression, and the internal struggle of feeling stuck. Depression and anxiety can feel like a never-ending cycle, trapping you in a maze of your own thoughts. The figure in this work represents the emotional weight of feeling overwhelmed, while trying not to drown in the mysteries created by the mind. Through this portrait, I aim to express the complexities of inner turmoil and the elusive path to self-understanding.
